Manoj Maggan
DDS, DAAPM, FICCMO, FAACP
Received his dental degree in 1995 from the University of Tennessee. He stays updated with new studies and scientific information through hundreds of hours of continuing education in general dentistry, head, neck, facial pain (TMD), sleep disorders and orthodontics. Dr. Maggan is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management (DAAPM), a Fellow of the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (FICCMO), and has a Fellowship in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (FAACP).
Dr. Maggan was born in Johannesburg South Africa and graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then completed his dental education at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Since completing dental school, Dr. Maggan has been practicing general dentistry in the Metro Atlanta area. Since 2003 both Doctor’s have limited their Alpharetta office to the treatment of TMJ Disorders, Headaches, Facial Pain and Sleep apnea. Dr. Maggan is also a part time clinical instructor at the Georgia Perimeter College in the Department of Dental Hygiene. Along with a busy practice Dr. Maggan has and still is lecturing on topics in Craniofacial pain and Dental management of sleep apnea patients both locally and nationally. He and his wife Alka, live in Duluth with their daughter, Anjali.
Mayoor Patel
DDS, FAGD, DAAPM, FICCMO, FAACP
Received his dental degree in 1994 from the University of Tennessee, and then completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Dr Patel has his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management (DAAPM), is a Fellow of the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (FICCMO), and has a Fellowship in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (FAACP). He stays up-to-date with over 1,000 hours of postgraduate education courses in the area of TMJ disorders, orofacial pain, orthodontics and sleep disorders.
Dr. Patel was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. After moving to Atlanta he worked in the Metro area, and also serves as a part time clinical instructor at Georgia Perimeter College, Department of Dental Hygiene. Michelle "Shelly" Hill
Patient Coordinator
Michelle “Shelley” Hill received her CTA (Certified TMJ Assistant) from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain in October 2005. Shelley also received her certification from BioResearch Associates, Inc. In addition to the above accomplishments, Shelley has completed advanced continuing education in Radiographic Studies. She is our head TMJ Assistant and fabricates the oral orthotics.
Sherry Lightfritz
Office Manager
Sherry Lightfritz is a native Ohioan & has lived in Georgia since 1999. She is a graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelors degree in Management. Sherry has been with our office since 1999 & has watched our practice grow. She holds the title of office manager & strives to accommodate our patients needs.
Deborah Blair
Assistant
Deborah Blair joined our practice in January 2008. Not only is she a member of our team but she is also a patient who is being treated for her TMD Deborah & her family relocated to Georgia in August 2005. She lives in Gainesville with her husband, Jeff, daughter, MacKenzie, and son, Logan.
Otilia Miranda
Assistant
Otilia Miranda joined our practice in November 2003. Not only does she enjoy helping our patients but she also works with children at the YMCA Norcross. Otilia is originally from Nicaragua but grew up in Florida. She moved to Georgia at the age of 14 and is a Graduate of Norcross High. Otilia enjoys dancing and has won several dance competition, watching movies and spending time with her family.
